What we’re learning from the first rollout of The Muse

Launching a first version of any product is exciting and it is also humbling. No matter how carefully something is built, real tutors and students using it in real life will always teach you more than internal planning ever can, that’s why we chose to release The Muse first within our own school community. Our tutors and students understand the learning journey, know the realities of weekly practice, and are honest about what feels fun, boring, confusing and what keeps them engaged. That kind of feedback is vital. We are learning that small details matter the most: how quickly can a parent understand what to do; how motivating does an activity feel after the third attempt; does it help a child start practising without being asked twice…

We built The Muse to solve practical problems in music learning: forgotten instructions, inconsistent practice, low motivation and limited visibility between lessons. And we expect it to evolve quickly as we listen closely to tutors, parents and students. Features will improve, experiences will become smoother, and we hope that new ideas will emerge from real use. That is how meaningful tools are built – in partnership with the people who use them daily.
